Inside Ray-Ban’s Innovation Lab: CTX and Liteforce Frames
Ray-Ban’s 2026 visuals introduce the Innovation Lab — the corner of the brand where new materials and construction ideas are tested before they reach the shelves. Two names appear across the campaign: CTX and Liteforce.
Why frame material matters
Most people choose glasses by shape and colour, but the material decides how the frame feels after eight hours. Lightweight injected materials such as Liteforce reduce pressure on the nose and temples, keep their shape in heat, and resist everyday knocks better than traditional acetate — which is why they are popular for prescription wear and for sport.
Lenses to match
A light frame deserves the right lens. For everyday wear we recommend thinner high-index lenses on stronger prescriptions, an anti-reflective coating for screens and night driving, and photochromic or polarised options if one pair has to do sun-and-shade duty. All of these can be configured with Select Lenses on any Ray-Ban optical frame in our store.
Browse the current Ray-Ban collection or visit us for a fitting — we will match the frame material to how you actually use your glasses.
